Patients in Omaha, NE

J Kohll RX Compounding is dedicated to helping patients understand and manage their compounded medications. Whether you’re new to compounding or are refilling an ongoing prescription, our team is here to support you with pharmacist oversight and timely fulfillment.

We prepare all compounded medications pursuant to a valid prescription for an individually identified patient, following state and federal regulations and USP <795> and <797> guidelines.

What Is Compounding?

Compounding is the preparation of a customized medication by a licensed pharmacist according to a prescriber’s order. It is often used when a commercially available product is not appropriate due to:

Ingredient sensitivities or allergies
The need for a different dosage strength or delivery method
Discontinued or unavailable commercial drugs
Difficulty swallowing pills or tolerating standard formulations

Compounded medications are made specifically for an individual patient and cannot be resold or shared. J Kohll RX prepares both sterile and non-sterile compounds in-house using FDA-registered ingredients.

What to Expect

Each compounded prescription is made to order under pharmacist supervision. Because these are not mass-produced medications, additional time is needed for preparation and review.

All prescriptions must be written by a licensed provider
Compounds are prepared specifically for each patient’s needs
Medications are clearly labeled and dispensed with instructions
A pharmacist is available to answer questions about storage, administration, or usage

Prescription Transfers

If you would like to transfer your compounded prescription to J Kohll RX from another pharmacy, please contact our team. We will work with your provider and current pharmacy to request the necessary information.

Note: Transfers may require a new prescription depending on medication type, expiration, or state regulations.

Shipping & Storage

Compounded prescriptions can either be:

Mailed within the state of Nebraska
Picked up in person at our Omaha location

We do not offer local delivery services.

Shipping methods may vary depending on the medication’s formulation and stability. Storage instructions will be provided with your prescription. Certain sterile compounds may require refrigeration or temperature-controlled handling.
